PLAZA DE LA VIRGEN

The Plaza de la Virgen (Plaça de la Mare de Déu, in Valencian, and formerly also Plaça de la Seu, Plaza de la Catedral) is a square in the Spanish city of Valencia. Located in a central place in the city, it is the heir to the ancient forum of Roman Valentia. Around it are three of the city’s emblematic buildings: the Cathedral of Santa María, the Basilica of the Virgin of the Forsaken and the Palace of the Generalitat.
